It had been eight years since the 76 condominiums and townhouses in my complex had been painted. As the Project Manager, I held a "walk-thru" with 5 different painting contractors and my choice this year was Accolade Painting, based in San Jose. This is the 3rd time I have been involved in the painting of our 40 year old condo complex, about every 8 years. Plus, I have managed several smaller painting projects.
To cut to the chase here-this is, by far, the very best painting job our complex has ever had! The care they took in preparations and the meticulous painting itself is truly commendable.
My being very much a "hands-on" person, I was at the site daily. Dealing with the two owners, Tom and Al, was seamless. Within a week of their start date, the Covid-19 virus hit; and there were a series of starts and stops. Often decisions were made in the evening, regarding if they were to work the next day. Through it all, they remained so flexible and understanding.
Those two men have a lot of integrity. They never once made a promise or committment they did not honor. And that, in itself, is hard to find these days.
All of their employees, from their foreman, Bryan, right on down the line, were exceedingly well-mannered and polite with all of the residents. And there were a lot of "stay-at-home" people, due to Covid-19. I received so many compliments, not only about the painting itself (an A+), but also how diligent the painters were about being careful & respectful of people's privacy and possessions. And how, at the end of every day, there was no evidence they had even been there-the grounds were spotless!
Needless to say, I have no hesitation at all, in giving the highest accolades possible to Accolade Painting!

We had a great experience with Accolade Painting. They painted the exterior of our house and did a fantastic job. The attention given to the prep work and detail was incredible. The crew arrived on time each day and definitely took pride in their work. They were thorough in the cleanup upon completion of the job. We will use Accolade Painting for our future painting needs.

I used Accolade Painting for years on commercial buildings when I was a property manager. Until I went to their web site I had no idea they painted homes. I received two bids and then called Al and after discussing painting my home and got a fair price I went with Accolade.

Working with Tom and Al was a great experience. We did the entire interior of our home, the fireplace, the new baseboards including caulking, every interior door and our beloved front door. We had a newborn, I was tired and I was picky on the exact paint colors (from two different suppliers). It was never a problem. The team was on time, polite and CLEAN. The gal that we corresponded with through email was always quick to respond and nice.
With a newborn and a toddler they never left a mess, no horrible paint fumes and never made us feel in the way. They moved all of our items so they could manuever around section to section and provided the plastic for covering the furniture. WE made a mistake on the sheen after an entire first day of painting and they fixed it the very next day. Not only did they re-do it, the evening we found out we wanted a different sheen, Al came by and listened to exactly what we wanted. It was evening time, post dinner. That customer service does not exist anymore. There were no corners that were cut! Even with the mistake we made, they finished a day early. I have and would recommend Accolade over and over.

We heard about Accolade through a friend who had recently had the exterior of their home painted by them. We were not disappointed when we hired them to paint the exterior of our home too. Al was attentive and always available throughout the job. He had great suggestions for improving the look of our house. His crew was consistently punctual, extremely polite, and willing to do whatever we requested. My partner is an engineer (if you know engineers, you know how anal they can be - hey it's true and makes them great at their jobs) and he was more than pleased with Accolade's work. Hire them!

They walked through step by step with paint selection, rendering, price and the project details. Their team is courteous and provides excellent customer service. (They even called to alert me of when they would arrive.) The work was completed on time, on budget, and great quality. Al and his team painted our house for the third time. We've had a great experience with them each time. They finished in two days and it looks great (it didn't take long because our house wood was in good shape). We are very pleased and I've also heard from friends we've recommended them to and they are quite pleased with the work/results as well.

Al and his crew were great - jet washing my home exterior, sanding, patching, fixing dry rot and mold, priming and painting. They paid detail attention to making our home bright and beautiful!

Accolade painting is a great company. I have used them externally and internally in both my homes in the willow glen area. The team is skilled, professional, reliable and give great advice.
One of my most favorite moments was when we were painting a box ceiling and Al and his guys painted it two different ways so I could see my options when I got home. It caused them more work but they really wanted me to be happy with the choice.
And I have several stories of this level of customer service. They have painted the full exterior of our homes twice and helped me with two separate kitchen renovations that included painting out the cupboards.
These guys rock and I can't say enough good things about them.

My husband and I were very pleased with the exterior house painting done by Al Yanez and his Accolade Painting crew. Before the work got started, Al discussed our color choices, trends, and explained how the process would go. Our house had been painted 18 years prior by Accolade Painting as well, but weather, a new roof and years of sun exposure made it necessary to paint again. We couldn't be happier! We love our new color, and Accolade spent a considerable amount of time on the prep work. Anyone can slap on a new coat of paint, but prepping the house RIGHT is what Accolade does best. They spent almost two days pressure washing, scraping, sanding, patching and getting ready to paint. We were so happy they did! It looks amazing. You wouldn't believe the number of neighbors who have complimented us on the house. Thank you, Al for keeping a close eye on the project throughout the process.

Accolade Painting did a terrific job painting the outside of our two story home in Willow Glen February 2nd - February 8th 2021. They power washed, made necessary repairs and their team of 8 painted the last 3 days. They did everything that they promised plus extras. They were pleasant, prompt and efficient. We received daily updates from the on site foreman. They cleaned up upon leaving each day. The payment was not due until we were completely satisfied. We would highly recommend this company.
